Bradenton RiverwalkThe Bradenton Riverwalk is a 2.03-mile stretch between the Green and DeSoto bridges. Along the pathway, visitors can fish, go for a leisurely stroll, run, and walk. The Riverwalk also features a skate park, a splash pad and playground, and beach volleyball.

Robinson Preserve – Made up of 705 acres of mangrove, tidal marsh, and agricultural land, the Robinson Preserve is ideal for those who want to spend time outside under the Florida sun. You’ll find pedestrian-only trails, kayak launches, hiking trails, restrooms, and picnic areas on the grounds. The Canopy Zone is a favorite for families with children. The compact, two-story structure is filled with adventure park elements including a series of boardwalks, rope bridges, climbing nets, and slides.

Lake Manatee State Park – Extending three miles along Lake Manatee, Lake Manatee State Park is great for freshwater fishers, boating, canoeing, and kayaking. The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature – Explore this state-of-the-art planetarium and go on a breathtaking virtual voyage through the cosmos. Palma Sola Botanical Park – This 10-acre parcel of land has a protected warm micro-climate, and is notably frost-free. Because of these unusual environmental conditions, the the botanical park is able to showcase collections of rare palms, fruits, flowering trees, and other subtropical plants including star fruit, dragon fruit, fig, guava, lychee, and much more. The park also features an exhibit called “Art in the Park” which highlights local amateur and professional artists and guilds each month.

Manatee Village Historical Park – Manatee Village Historical Park opened on July 6, 1976, to preserve and share the heritage of Manatee County’s founding period (1840-1918). Stroll through permanent and temporary exhibits in the Wiggins General Store or see what life was like on the Florida frontier. There is also a playground for children and picnic tables.
